26 FAQ
What exactly does LexaVero do?

LexaVero compares the income or payout data shown by your marketplace with the corresponding bank activity. It identifies clear matches and highlights missing, differing or ambiguous amounts so you can focus on transactions that may need clarification.

Why do I need LexaVero if my marketplace already provides payout reports?

A marketplace report shows what the platform recorded or intended as a payout. For your business, the decisive question is whether the corresponding money actually reached your bank account. LexaVero compares these two independent data sources instead of relying on only one of them.

Does LexaVero access my bank account?

No. LexaVero does not need online-banking credentials and does not connect to your bank account. You select a supported bank file yourself and it is processed locally on your device.

Does LexaVero access my marketplace account?

No. You do not connect your seller account and you do not enter a marketplace password. You export the required data from the marketplace yourself and open that file in LexaVero.

Are my marketplace and bank files uploaded to LexaVero?

No. Marketplace exports, bank files and reconciliation results are processed locally on your device for the reconciliation itself. Their contents are not uploaded to LexaVero as part of normal product use.

Does LexaVero store my files or results?

Your source files are not stored by LexaVero on our servers as part of the reconciliation. The app may keep functional information, settings, work data and history locally in browser or application storage, and you can create local backups. You remain in control of those local files and backups.

Do I have to enter passwords or API keys?

No. The reconciliation does not require your marketplace password, bank login or a marketplace API key. LexaVero works with files you export yourself.

Which files do I need?

You generally need the supported payout, settlement or sales export for your marketplace and a corresponding bank export for the period you want to check. The step-by-step guide shows the workflow in detail.

Which marketplaces does LexaVero support?

LexaVero marketplace editions are available for Etsy, Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Kaufland, TikTok Shop, AliExpress, Allegro, OTTO, Zalando and Mercado Libre. Each edition is developed for the data structure of its marketplace.

Why is there a separate LexaVero edition for every marketplace?

Separate marketplace editions allow LexaVero to respond more quickly when a marketplace changes its export format or data structure. At the same time, you only need to purchase and use the app for the marketplace you actually sell on.

Why can’t I use the Amazon edition to reconcile eBay data, for example?

Marketplace exports differ in many details: column structure, field names, identifiers, transaction types, settlement logic and other platform-specific information. The Amazon edition is designed to interpret Amazon exports correctly; eBay data requires the eBay edition because its export structure and logic are different.

Can I use LexaVero for more than one marketplace?

Yes. You can purchase the editions you need and use each one for its intended marketplace. If you add further LexaVero licences in the same purchase, the discount shown in the checkout applies according to the current offer.

Does LexaVero work on Windows, macOS and Linux?

LexaVero is a browser app designed for common desktop operating systems, including Windows, macOS and Linux. A current compatible browser is required.

Do I have to install a traditional desktop program?

No traditional EXE or large installation package is required. You open the LexaVero browser app through the link supplied with your licence. Depending on your browser, you can also install the web app locally for quicker access.

Does LexaVero require a permanent internet connection?

The reconciliation itself does not require a live connection to your marketplace or bank. An internet connection is used for activation and may also be used for licence-status checks and version or update information. Marketplace files, bank contents and reconciliation results are not transmitted during these checks.

What happens if a marketplace changes its export format?

Marketplace formats and financial data structures can change. LexaVero monitors relevant platform changes and can update affected editions when necessary. Updates for your edition are included during the licence term.

What do green, yellow and red results mean?

Green indicates a successful or plausible match. Yellow marks a case that should be reviewed or cannot be assigned with sufficient certainty. Red marks a critical case, for example where no plausible bank receipt or another material discrepancy was found. LexaVero keeps uncertainty visible rather than inventing certainty.

Can LexaVero determine that a marketplace legally owes me money?

No. LexaVero can reveal a discrepancy between marketplace data and bank activity, but it does not make a legal decision about the reason for the difference or whether a legally enforceable claim exists. It is a reconciliation and review tool, not legal advice.

Is LexaVero bookkeeping or accounting software?

No. LexaVero does not replace your bookkeeping, accounting software or tax adviser. It is deliberately focused on one task: comparing marketplace financial data with actual bank activity and making discrepancies easier to review.

What can I do when LexaVero finds a discrepancy?

You can review the case, document the expected amount, the bank receipt or missing receipt and the difference, and create a structured discrepancy report for further clarification. You decide whether the case should then be taken up with the marketplace or handled internally.

How long is my LexaVero licence valid?

A LexaVero licence is valid for 365 days. The licence term includes use of the purchased marketplace edition and the updates provided for that edition during the term.

Is LexaVero a subscription or does it renew automatically?

No. LexaVero is not a subscription and there is no automatic renewal. After 365 days, you decide whether you want to purchase a new licence.

How do I activate my license key and keep the license permanently available on this device?

For permanent recovery, LexaVero must be installed and opened as an app on the device you want to use. 1. Click “License” at the top. 2. Enter the license key from your purchase email in the “License key” field. 3. Click “Activate license key”. After successful activation, the signed license is stored locally and works offline. 4. Then click “Agree – keep license available”. This links the license to the installed LexaVero app on this device so it can be restored after browser or site data are deleted. Marketplace and bank data are not stored for this purpose. Keep your original license key in a safe place as well.

Where is my licence stored?

You receive your licence key by email after purchase and should keep it in a safe place. After activation, the signed licence is stored locally in the browser or installed web-app storage of the browser profile you use. If you also choose “Agree – keep license available” in the installed app, the licence can be restored on this same device after browser or site data are deleted. No separate licence file is created on your computer, and no marketplace or bank data are stored for licence recovery.

I deleted browser or site data and my licence is gone. What can I do?

If you previously enabled permanent licence recovery, open the installed LexaVero app on the same device. 1. Click “License” at the top. 2. Click “Restore saved license”. The saved licence is restored; you do not need to enter the key again. If permanent recovery was not enabled beforehand, enter your original licence key under “License” and click “Activate license key”. If activation is blocked because of the device binding, contact LexaVero Support. Note: clearing only the browser cache normally does not remove the licence; the licence can disappear when browser/site/app data or local storage are deleted.

What happens if I change computers or reinstall LexaVero?

Keep your licence key in a safe place. After a reinstall or device change, enter your existing licence key again. If the licence is still valid, LexaVero can be activated again. If activation is not possible, please contact LexaVero Support.
